On the 7th and 8th May Tauranga will be hosting rounds 3 & 4 of the North Island Moto Trial series.

Day 1 will be held at Muirs property at the top of No 4 Road Te Puke, starting at 10.00 and day 2 will be held at Graylings property Hereford Road Oropi starting at 9.30.  The events will be signposted from the main highway(s).

Trials riding is a great spectator sport and spectators are welcome at no cost. However, please note,  absolutely NO DOGS are allowed to either day.

Riders will be coming from all over the North Island for this event but several riders from the wider Tauranga area will be strong contenders for the weekends honours. Matt Foster from Manawatu and local teenager Jacob Gundry will be vying for top honours in the Expert Grade. There are potentially four riders in the A grade category who could  win including local Philip Shilton.

The hotly contested Intermediate grade will be interesting with 11 year old Dylan Ball rising quickly through the grades and easily able to take out top honours. In Intermediate B, which is by far the biggest grade, local Nigel Shilton has every chance to win and in Clubmen, Te Puke rider Kevin Ter Steege could well be the dark horse.
