Message from Luke's Mum.

Below is an email we received from the Huntly Motocross Club.

Luke's NZ Mini Nationals are being held there on November 13th & 14th.

All entries received before 30th September were entered into the draw to win 1 of 4 spots to be a factory rider for the weekend.

Luke's name was drawn & he received a phone call from the club on Saturday.

He is so excited & has asked us each day if it is all just a dream!.

Luke also raced in Taupo on Saturday & finished 2nd in race 1 & 1st in races 2 & 3, as well as recording the fastest lap time in each race.

He finished 1st overall for the day & finished 2nd overall for the season.

Luke is just buzzing about his weekend & asked if I could email you all to tell you his exciting news.

The email received 2nd October 2010: Hi guys

Congratulations on winning the Factory Rider competition run with the Huntly Honda NZ Mini Motocross Champs.

The prize package includes new Fox riding gear, a set of new Bridgestone tyres and new graphics for your number boards. And on top of all of that, you will pit with the DRD boys for the whole weekend and be treated like stars!

The next step is to get some details off you so we can organise everything:

1. Please send me a head and shoulders photo by Tuesday for the DRD magazine article

2. We need to know what size riding gear you wear

3. What size tyres (front and rear) are on the bike you will be riding at the Nationals?

We will courier the tyres out to you so you can fit them before the event, and we will be in contact about the graphics and riding gear.

Once again, congratulations, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
