Who and What will be there

Field Day fever is back and Mystery Creek will once again be hosting several thousand visitors on a daily basis. They are there for the largest agribusiness exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere which in 2012 runs from 13th to 16th June.

But it’s not all just agribusiness. A range of competitions and displays bring town and country together.  Attractions around the event, including the tractor pulling, logging, axe men’s & fencing competitions, Ag Wearable Art Wear and  Fashion Design shows,  the letter box challenge, extreme air displays, vintage tractor & machinery displays, stock handling, horsemanship & cooking demonstrations plus of course the Rural Bachelor of the Year competition, all see rural and urban visitors rubbing shoulders as they gather to cheer on their favourites.

Quads and two wheelers for the farm and leisure markets will be there in force and most brands will have a site at the Fieldays. We asked some local dealers: “Why should we visit your particular site?

CANAM :  Site G91 & G93: -  “You’ll see our range of quads of course”.  Michael at Te Puke Farm & Trail

HONDA:  Site E25 & E29:  “Whole model range on display – farm, trail, competition and road. Ian will be there on the Thursday.”. - Julie at Coastline Honda.

Honda will have an active demo area showing exactly what the MUVs and ATVs can handle plus, in keeping with the theme of this year’s event,  “The Changing Face of Farming"- , there will be a display of Honda product through the ages. Honda rider Ben Townley will be around doing signing and Broxy will be on site  with fridge magnets, wristbands and poster giveaways plus coaching sessions and product to win.

HUSQVARNA: No site BUT  Owen at GP Red Baron has a  Brand New 2011 Husqvarna CR125 in store for $7,995! This is a One Only Field Day Special.

KAWASAKI:  Site F18 & F20:Good opportunity to talk to tech staff and view the latest motorcycles”. Nathan and Carl will be there says Richard at Action All Terrain (new name and new owner of  Bay City Motorcycles).

Kawasaki will have a range of product and dealers to answer questions.  All the new models will be on display with top of the line road bikes but a majority of ATVs and Mules and Teryx.  Also on site will be a KX fitted out like Villopoto’s 2012 US Supercross winning bike!

POLARIS:  Site F3 & F5 & F5A:  “Big range of leisure as well as farm quads. Make all the comparisons at the same time in the same place. Make sure you buy the right machine. Free Swanndris come with the purchase of a new Ranger model. Prices are reduced at the Field Days and for all of June.”.  -  Nathan and Carl will be there from Action All Terrain.

SUZUKI:  Site E12 & E14 & E16 & E18 :  There’s a nice active market at present. Suzuki has the best prices around and a free set of red band gumboots with purchases.  The Field Days is a time when lots of Suzuki’s customers get together  so the Moto City Team is looking forward to it”.  -  Andrew at Moto City

The Suzuki  Spin & Win Wheel  will offer chances to win gumboots, The Shed magazine subscriptions, a heap of other prizes plus one guaranteed mudbug to be won every day.

The Suzuki Air Extreme team of free Style FMX riders will be thrilling the crowds three times a day on the demonstration area with their aerial ability leaping up to forty feet in the air performing tricks such as the Cliff Hanger and Look Back Ruler- Mitch Hardy is the one doing his stuff in the picture above. Don’t miss this event with commentary and support from New Zealand’s Scary Mary and her team Encounter FMX.

YAMAHA:  Site D9 & D11 & D13: “Obviously huge savings to be had. Check up on the new models especially the 300 quad. Yamaha has a fully enclosed site with lounge chairs and coffee so if it’s gnarly Waikato weather or, even if it isn’t, pop in and see us”. -  Lindsay at Bayride Motorcycles

With so many exhibitors and displays, anticipation for this year’s event is building. So if you are thinking of attending and need a ticket you may want to consider purchasing on line.
