Scary Maze Meets MX
This Saturday
Ever been to one of those Scary Maize Paddock happenings?
Loved the fearsome thrills and the screams and the chills down your spine?
Then don’t miss the bush at night.
Keep Saturday 26th November free for the "Maddix Park After Dark" experience.
Twilight Activities, blood-curdling contests, fun races with free mini MX coaching start at 4.30pm, but it all continues after dark with a night ride around the trail loops for those who dare (head lights on bikes or on heads are compulsory) and night walks so you can see how the bush comes alive in the dead of darkness!
Five “zones” will be operating – the Mini Track, the Main MX track, the Trail Loops, the Bush Walks and, of course, Cemetery Central.
Programme:
On the Mini Track:
4.30pm – 5.30pm: Training tips on the track
Former national champ Andrew Hardisty from Moto City will be there. No charge but you must pre-register for this. Email [email protected] to book.
5.30pm – 6.30pm: Organized fun track events
1 lap sprints, relays etc
6.30pm – 8pm: Free track time
On the Main Track:
4.30pm – 6.30pm : Free track time
6.30pm -8pm: Organized fun track events
Sprints, relays etc.
On the Trail Loops:
4.30pm – 6.30pm: Normal trail time
8pm - 10pm: Night Ride
Join the ghost riders on the trail loops. Lights on bikes or lights on heads are compulsory.
In the Bush: (There’ll be very little moon & the scary creatures won’t be out until after 8.30pm)
8pm – 10 pm: Sisal Trail Walk
Keep your hand on the rope and it will guide you through and around the trail. No torches allowed.
8pm – 10pm: Possum Trail Walk
Find your own way around the trail but bring a torch (or phone) to help.
At Cemetery Central:
6.30pm-9pm: Pumpkin Corner Activities & Crèche
Fun non-scary Halloween activities for the young and/or faint-hearted.
8pm-8.30pm: Creepy Contests
The best blood-curdling scream, the ugliest monster (yes, dress them up) etc…
4.30pm – 10pm: On Site Catering
Hot food for sale. Chips & hot dogs $4, burgers $5-$6, nachos $6, steak sandwiches $6-50, coffees from $4, canned drinks $2-50, juices $3, water $3.
Please note: Times are approximate and the whole event is weather dependant. Any cancellations will be on website/facebook and on hotline 07 544 2251 by 3pm.
Non riders are most welcome, so bring along your friends, family, uncles, grandmothers….. but no animals please.
Warm clothing, covered footwear, long pants plus a hand to hold are strongly recommended.
Normal park entry fees apply. Minis $10, Juniors $15, Seniors $20, Families $40, Non-riders FREE. Friends of Maddix discounts also apply.
