Plenty of action at Te Puke show

Motobike endurocross riders, chainsaw sculpting, digger contests and pony hunter classes are among the top attractions at this year’s Te Puke A&P Show.

The annual show on tomorrow, February 9 is a great family fun day out that includes Chelsea’s dog show, ladies gumboot throwing competition, Highland dancing as well as novice events in Round the Ring jumping. 

There will be a wide variety of trade sites plus a food court offering hot chips, hotdogs, burgers, corn fritters, seafood, donuts, sandwiches, pies, sausage sizzles -  along with bar facilities and a wide variety of assorted refreshments and coffee wagons available to quench your thirst throughout the day.

Tractors, ride on mowers, trucks and vintage machinery will be there as will the home industries section including – arts, crafts, baking, vegetables, sewing, knitting, needlework, crochet, patchwork, teddy bears, recycled art and amateur photography and the Hargreaves Charitable Trust Children’s Competition. 

There will be front seat viewing of shearing, competitive horse classes, harness and miniature horses, beef, Dexter and dairy cattle, sheep classes, a pet corner with birds, rabbits, kittens, and puppies available to purchase, alpacas, donkey rides, Miss and Master Competitions  and much more.

Little Entertainment Company will be at the show providing rides for the little ones as well as a range of entertainment for the family. 

Also, the Te Puke Fire Brigade will once again be putting on a massive demonstration.
