Saturday Trials
There was a good turn out for the 1st of the Tauranga Trials Group's 4 summer trials.
The bikes ranged from the ultra old Francis Barnett to the ultra new electric EM trials bikes and included an Enduro bike.
The riders, too, covered a wide range from teenagers to the seventies plus and the whole gamut in between.
Trials is a sport for all ages.
The fine bush and creek sections made this a beautifully cool venue on a very hot day. Thanks to the course plotters and to those who helped pack up. Many hands do make light work. The bright sun and dark bush made photos a challenge but click here for a couple of pics.
The next trial will be on Saturday 10th January at 1pm at Maddix Park, Saturday 17th January will be in Lower Oropi and Saturday 25th at a venue yet to be decided. The format will be the same: 6 sections to be ridden 6 times - it worked really well yesterday.
