Seven Australian Moto Athletes including Chad Reed to Contest L.A X-Games

Australia's Chad Reed will return to X-Games competition at this years Los Angeles X-Games which are set to be held next weekend from the 1st to the 4th of August.

Reed will line up in the Mens MotoX race, which has been absent from X-Games over the past couple of years, but will be returning for the 2013 Los Angeles X-Games.

While a lot of the big name front runners from both the AMA Supercross Championship and the American Pro Motocross Championship will not be behind the start gate, a host of well known and controversial riders are set to put in a great show.

Reed will go head to head against the likes of Mike Alessi, Justin Brayton, Josh Grant, Josh Hansen, Josh Hill and even former 250 Supercross class champion Jason Lawrence

Joining Reed at X-Games this year will be the winner of the American round of the Red Bull X-Fighters series held at Glen Helen, Rob Adleberg who will compete in the Freestyle competition along side fellow Australian and two time X-Games best trick Gold Medallist Jackson Strong

Strong would have been one of the big favourites in the Best Trick competition, however organisers of X-Games have scrapped that contest for the foreseeable future.

One of the biggest names in Freestyle Motocross, Robbie Maddison will be Australia's sole representative in the Best Whip contest, while another former X-Game Medalist in Blake 'Bilko' Williams will be sure to give the Aussies someone to cheer on in the Speed and Style contest.

Two riders will also represent Australia in the Women's MotoX race, with both Meghan Rutledge and Mackenzie Tricker both entered in to this years event.
