Provisional Clearance for Waters
Australian Nationals
Current 2013 Monster Energy
MX Nationals points leader in the MX1 class, Todd Waters has been given
provisional clearance to ride practice and Qualifying at round four of the
Australian championship at Broadford tomorrow, Sunday the 18th of May.
The Motorex KTM racer suffered a head knock at a Sunshine State race meeting
held at Leyburn Park in Queensland last weekend while competing on a KTM 250
two stroke in the Pro Lites class.
Waters has been working along side Simon Maas and his team of experts at Suzuki
Racesafe in order to do everything possible to race this weekend. A team of
specialist closely monitored the 2012 MX1 runner up to make sure he is ready to
return to riding this weekend.
"We have spent a lot of time this week helping Todd to try and get him
ready for this weekend." Maas explained on mysportlive.com.au just moments
ago. "He had a bit of a concussion and we spent some time getting him
scanned and reviewed.
"I am please to advise that after four or five days of thorough testing
and reviews by a number of doctors in the racing organisation that Todd has
been given provisional clearance to ride practice and qualifying tomorrow,"
he added.
While given clearance for the 20 minute combined practice and qualifying
session, Waters will be re evaluated before the commencement of racing, before
a final decision on him lining up for moto one. t
"We will do a further and final review of him before moto one," Maas
added.
We will update as soon as we can after qualifying to hopefully give some more
good news on Waters situation.
