Groombridge Joins Factory Husqvarna Squad

Husqvarna’s factory and support
riders are hungrily awaiting the final two-race stretch in this year's Monster
Energy MX Nationals, which begins this weekend at Gladstone in Central
Queensland.
Impressive MX1 rookie Brock Winston has mutually parted ways with the Husqvarna
factory team and will continue as a Husqvarna support rider for the final two
rounds.
“Nothing is really that much different for me, I've still got a sweet bike with
the same race suspension under me, and I’m excited to go to the races this
weekend, which is always a big advantage." Winston explained. "I'm
keen to get out there - there's only two more rounds so I've got to give it
everything I've got.”
New Zealander Brad Groombridge will step on to the factory team’s FC 450 to
make it a dual Husqvarna presence in the premier class.
“It's always good to be able to come over to Australia and have a crack at
racing over here." Groombridge stated. "I rode the first two rounds,
just taking it one round at a time, but I didn’t really get any good results at
the second round so I went back home for our off-season and only got back into
some motos and things like that in the last month or so. To get an opportunity
to come over here and ride for Ando and Husqvarna is awesome.”

In the MX2 category, last-start a
winner Luke Arbon is firmly establishing himself as one of the form riders of
the series, but unfortunately he won't be joined by multiple race winner Kayne
Lamont, who is out with a broken collarbone.
“I didn't feel like I rode that great at Raymond Terrace, but I still got the
overall and a race win, but I’m feeling good coming into these last two, so the
plan is to win a few more races, and hopefully two overalls.” Arbon stated.
In the MXD class, Husqvarna factory team rider Egan Mastin posted a perfect
scorecard last time out, but there's no doubt he will have fellow Husqvarna TC
250 rider Nathan Crawford fighting him for the championship as it draws to a
close.
"Egan is ready to go, and between Raymond Terrace and here we’ve refined a
few things and kept ticking over the things that we've always done."
Husqvarna factory team manager Craig Anderson explaind. "But he’s got to
continue going there with the mindset to win races and not settle for less.”
“Everything is good here, I‘m training as normal and just on the way up to
Gladstone now." Mastin said. "There's still a lot of racing left,
with a lot of points left up for grabs, so anything is possible, and I'm very
keen to get racing.”
