CDR Yamaha’s Dan Reardon extended his 2015 Australian Supercross Championship lead with an assertive victory at Jimboomba 2, Queensland, this evening after what was a dramatic start to the main event.

Reardon and arch-rival Matt Moss (Team Motul Suzuki) traded the lead multiple times in the opening corners of the 20-lap main event before a crash from Moss put him out of contention, enabling Reardon to streak to his third-straight win.

While Reardon sailed away out front, a determined performance from Moss saw him climb to second, ahead of Reardon’s factory Yamaha teammate Kade Mosig, completing the podium in third at round four. The top five was completed by Adam Monea (NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki) and Lawson Bopping (Peter Stevens DPH Yamaha).

Woods breaks through for surprise SX2 main event victory.

In the SX2 ranks it was Davey Motorsports KTM rider Lewis Woods who raced to a stunning victory, beating home American title leader Jimmy Decotis (Penrite Honda) and South Australia’s Luke Arbon (SD3 Husqvarna).

Geran Stapleton (Wilson MX Penrite Honda) and Dylan Wills (KTM Newcastle), who was in the battle for a podium before clashing with Decotis and going down heavily, filled the top five positions.
